The Hindu Society of Ottawa-Carleton (HSOC) is a non-religious, not-for-profit, non-political charity organization based in Ottawa, Canada established in 1992. Run by a group of elected volunteers, we support both Canadian and Indian charities with the support of generous donors. Majority of our activities are to support projects for charities in India.
We focus on educating children, empowering women, and rural development. While the majority of our charitable activities are undertaken in India, we are also active locally and in the international arena.

Our Mission: Help destitute children, women and the elderly through impactful projects such as educational assistance, medical assistance, health improvement, women empowerment, rural development etc., as well as providing assistance during disaster and crisis.
Our Goal: Provide assistance to a maximum number of charities with no (or very minimal) management overhead; our goal is to transfer the full amount of donations received to the destined charity organizations for the worthwhile cause they are intended for.
